How to perform it

  1. 1Stand with your feet together or slightly apart, then lift and spread all five toes off the ground while keeping your heel and the ball of your foot planted. Slowly lower each toe one at a time or together, spreading them wide and working on individual toe control and big toe extension range. Breathe steadily and perform slow repetitions, holding end-range positions to build toe extensor control. Avoid curling the toes or gripping the floor — feel the intrinsic foot muscles working to spread and lift the toes independently, especially the big toe.
