How to perform it

  1. 1Hold a band and perform horizontal shoulder abduction by pulling your arm out to the side then transition into a shoulder press at the end range. This combination trains scapular retraction and posterior shoulder strength before loading the press. Keep your elbow at shoulder height throughout.
